Introduction

The mobile macular unit provides a one-stop treatment centre for age-related macular degeneration (AMD) in the local community.  It will move once a week, travelling to 4 locations in the local community, on a 4 week cycle.

The mobile unit has been designed to include 2 visual activity lanes, 1 scanning Room, 2 consultation rooms and a clean Room for injections.

Top Tips:

  • Please don’t arrive more than 5 minutes before your appointment
  • Due to limited space on the mobile unit, we are unable to accommodate anyone other than the patient on board.
  • Appointments on the mobile unit will be forwarded to you via the post.
  • Please be aware that there are no toilets on the mobile unit;  however, these facilities can be located on site within the Superstore.
