Aged between 12 & 55?

If you are aged between 12 and 55, then irrespective of your gender, you
may be asked questions about pregnancy.

Only people with internal reproductive organs have the ability to become pregnant. We check this with each individual and conduct a pregnancy check accordingly.

It is our legal responsibility to establish whether a person is pregnant or not, before
exposing them to ionising radiation, as a foetus is at a higher risk from any potential harmful effects.

If you do not wish to have your gender history recorded, please inform the Radiographer. You can ask to speak to them privately if you wish.

PLEASE BE AWARE you may still be able to become pregnant if you are taking
testosterone.
