Breast Imaging

Thank you for attending your breast imaging appointment today.
The imaging performed today will be reviewed and reported by a Consultant Breast
Radiologist.

Very occasionally you may be recalled back for further mammographic views / ultrasound to assess certain areas within the breast. On some occasions this further assessment may involve a needle test to determine the nature of an area of breast tissue.

If any of these extra tests are required, you will be contacted directly by the Radiology Department within two weeks of your initial breast imaging appointment.

If no further investigations are required, the report will be sent to the referring doctor. You will receive a letter with the full report in due course.

If you have any further questions regarding your Outpatient Appointment, please contact the Breast Secretaries on: 0300 613 2358 / 0300 613 4160
