When to use NHS 111 online or call 111

NHS 111 can help if you think you need medical help right now.

Urgent care centres
Urgent care centres can help when it's not a life threatening emergency. Our area has urgent care centres at Brants Bridge in Bracknell and Priors Close in Slough. They are open 8am-8pm daily. NHS 111 can give advice on where to go, and may be able to book you an appointment.

If you call 111 you may also be directed to get urgent care at Frimley Park Hospital.

When to call 999

999 is for life-threatening emergencies like serious road traffic accidents, strokes and heart attacks.

When to go to A&E/ED 

A&E (accident and emergency) is for serious injuries and life-threatening emergencies. There are A&E departments at our two acute hospitals, Frimley Park and Wexham Park. We sometimes call this department ED (emergency department).

• Information and advice
  Sign up to the MyFrimleyHealth record online platform.
  For children, parents and carers - use the Healthier Together website or app.
• Pharmacies
  Pharmacists can give advice on illnesses and medicines, and they can refer you to a GP or other health professional.
• Mental health services
  Advice on getting urgent help, or accessing talking therapies.
• Sexual health
  Sexual health clinics are free and available to everyone.
• GP services
  Your GP practice team is there to help you with routine needs, persistent symptoms (those lasting a few days, or a cough lasting more than three weeks), and ongoing health conditions.
