Your Voice. Your Healthcare. Your Future.
Are you aged 11 to 25? Have you used our hospitals or healthcare services? Do you have ideas about how healthcare could be improved for young people?
The FHFT Youth Forum gives young people the opportunity to share their experiences, influence decisions and help shape the future of healthcare across Frimley Health. It is a forum for young people, led by young people, where your voice can make a real difference.
Whether you've had regular appointments, stayed in hospital, managed a long-term health condition or supported someone close to you through their healthcare journey, your experiences and ideas matter.
Why join the Youth Forum?
The Youth Forum is a safe and welcoming space where young people can speak openly about what matters to them and help improve services for others.
As a member, you can:
- Share your experiences and views about healthcare
- Suggest ideas and improvements to services
- Help make hospitals and healthcare settings more welcoming for young people
- Influence the design of services, spaces and patient information
- Ensure young people's voices are represented in Trust projects and programmes
- Get involved in opportunities to influence healthcare locally, across the Integrated Care System and nationally
- Meet other young people with shared experiences and make a positive difference in your community
Your voice shapes our services. Join the Youth Forum to tell us how to make healthcare better for you.
A space that's about you
Being a young person can sometimes feel like sitting between childhood and adulthood. The Youth Forum has been created to ensure young people have a place where they can be heard, valued and involved in decisions that affect them.
This is your space to share ideas, ask questions and talk honestly about your healthcare experiences.
You don't need any special skills or experience to join. You don't need to be an expert. We simply want to hear from you.
Your experiences, opinions and ideas can help us improve care for young people now and in the future.
What do Youth Forum members do?
Youth Forum meetings give young people the opportunity to:
- Tell us what's working well
- Highlight areas where improvements could be made
- Share examples of good practice
- Suggest changes that could improve patient experiences
- Help identify issues that matter to young people
- Provide feedback on Trust initiatives and developments
- Represent the views of young people across our hospitals and community services
The feedback and ideas shared by Youth Forum members help influence decisions and support meaningful improvements across Frimley Health.
