Each year we set our quality priorities for the coming year in our annual quality report.

  1. To optimise the safety of invasive and operative procedures undertaken across the Trust, reducing risk of harm to patients and eliminating Never Events.
  2. Recognition, response and treatment for risk/presence of malnutrition and improve monitoring and management of hydration.
  3. Improving the healthcare transition pathway from children and young people’s services to adult services by ensuring young people are involved in planning, preparation and decision making for their healthcare needs.
  4. Delivery of improved care for people with Learning disabilities and/or autism by ensuring our teams are skilled and trained, reasonable adjustments are optimised and people with lived experience are actively involved in making services better.
  5. To improve equity of access, experience and outcomes for women and birthing people using maternity services, with a particular focus on reducing unwarranted variation.
