Our priorities for 2026-2027
Each year we set our quality priorities for the coming year in our annual quality report.
- To optimise the safety of invasive and operative procedures undertaken across the Trust, reducing risk of harm to patients and eliminating Never Events.
- Recognition, response and treatment for risk/presence of malnutrition and improve monitoring and management of hydration.
- Improving the healthcare transition pathway from children and young people’s services to adult services by ensuring young people are involved in planning, preparation and decision making for their healthcare needs.
- Delivery of improved care for people with Learning disabilities and/or autism by ensuring our teams are skilled and trained, reasonable adjustments are optimised and people with lived experience are actively involved in making services better.
- To improve equity of access, experience and outcomes for women and birthing people using maternity services, with a particular focus on reducing unwarranted variation.
