Care after your Intravitreal Injection
For the first few days after your injection it is normal to see a blob or a few floaters in front of your vision. There may be redness at the site of injection or the eye may feel gritty. You may be given antibiotic or lubricating drops after the injection.
For the first 5 days:
- Do not wash your hair.
- Avoid getting any products in your eye.
- Do not immerse your head in water.
- Do not rub your eye.
- Avoid gardening and physical exertion.
If you have any:
- Pain or redness in the eye increases or vision deteriorates.
- There is a sudden increase in floaters in the eye.
