Getting involved

We are seeking your views on these proposals.

You can take part by:

Why your feedback matters

Your views will help us to:

  • Understand local priorities
  • Identify concerns
  • Improve the proposals

All feedback will be reviewed independently and used alongside clinical and technical information.

This engagement is about our proposed approach to delivering hospital and community care in the future, including the role of a new Frimley Park Hospital within a wider network of services.

It considers how these proposals could affect patients, carers, staff and local communities, and seeks to understand what matters most to people as plans develop, including issues such as access, travel, design and local impact.

Your feedback will help us understand what is important, highlight any concerns or issues we may not have fully considered, and identify where changes or mitigation may be needed as the proposals are refined.

It is important to be clear about what is not being decided through this engagement. Having already completed our appraisal of the available options, we are now seeking views on our proposed new approach, and the proposed location for the possible new acute hospital.

The approach to identifying a suitable (proposed) site for a new acute hospital was developed through earlier public engagement, detailed technical and clinical assessment, and independent assurance.

No final decisions about detailed design, layout, access arrangements or mitigation measures are being made at this stage.

Some parameters are fixed, including national requirements to remove RAAC from hospital buildings and the need to meet modern healthcare standards. Other elements can still be shaped as plans develop.

We are committed to open and transparent engagement about the future of healthcare and the proposed new Frimley Park Hospital.

At this stage, it is important that the proposed approach is tested and challenged. Your feedback will help us understand what works well, where there may be concerns, and how the proposals could affect different people and communities.

We want to hear:

  • how the proposals might impact you, your family or your community
  • whether there are issues we may not have fully considered
  • how any potential negative impacts could be reduced or mitigated
  • whether there are opportunities to improve or strengthen the proposals

Your views will help us refine our plans and ensure they are as inclusive, practical and responsive as possible. We want people to feel informed, listened to and confident that their views are taken seriously.

Taking part is entirely voluntary, but your feedback really does matter.

Your feedback can make a difference.

What you tell us will be considered alongside clinical advice, technical assessments, affordability, deliverability and national requirements. Your input will help to:

  • refine and improve the proposed approach
  • shape design principles and priorities
  • inform access, transport and environmental mitigation measures
  • guide how services are organised across hospital and community settings

After the engagement closes, we will publish a report explaining what people told us and how it has informed the programme.

When the engagement closes on Sunday 13 September 2026, all feedback received will be analysed independently by Opinion Research Services (ORS).

ORS is an experienced research organisation that specialises in public and stakeholder engagement.
ORS will prepare an independent report setting out:

  • what people told us
  • the key themes and issues raised
  • areas of support and concern

This report will describe the feedback received but will not make recommendations or decisions. Its role is to ensure that responses are captured accurately and fairly.
