We are pleased to confirm that, from Monday 18 May 2026 Slough Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) is offering paediatric blood testing for children aged 5 to 9 years. The service will run Monday-Friday 4pm-8pm (including bank holidays, except Christmas day). Please note, children aged 10 years and above can already access the Slough CDC adult service. Referral/booking process 

  • All routine blood tests must continue to be requested via ICE.
  • Parents / carers will be required to continue to book a routine appointment in advance via Swiftqueue as detailed on the FHFT Blood test page: Please note this is NOT a walk-in service.
  • For urgent paediatric blood tests the requesting clinician should continue to discuss the patient with the paediatric consultant via the paediatric hotline / urgent clinical advice line.
