From 28 September 2026, the Paediatric routine blood test service at Wexham Park Hospital will only be available for children under 5 years of age and for children with additional needs. Any blood test appointments already booked at Wexham Park Hospital will not be affected and will go ahead as planned.

Appointments for children aged 5 years and over are available at Slough Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) via the usual Swiftqueue online booking process.

Children aged 10 years and over can access the adult phlebotomy service at Slough CDC.

Where possible, please link directly to the specific FHFT webpages e.g.​​​​​​​ Blood tests and the Swiftqueue online booking platform, so patients can access the latest information on locations, opening times, directions and appointment preparation.

Please note: For Urgent paediatric blood tests, please continue to follow the current process and discuss the patient with the paediatric consultant via the Paediatric Hotline.
