Patients sometimes need to undergo blood tests to aid the diagnosis of illnesses. Blood tests are undertaken in our outpatient departments by phlebotomists.

Some blood tests require a patient to fast for a period of time before the blood test is undertaken. Your GP or consultant will tell you if this is the case.

To safely manage the flow of patients and avoid overcrowded waiting areas we are implementing a booking system for blood tests.

Please ensure that you bring along the blood test request form that was given to you by your GP or consultant.
