One of the key snowboarders taking part in the World Para Snow Sports Championships in Norway has given a ‘shout out’ to Frimley Park Hospital for the care he received following a life changing car accident.
Ollie Hill, lost his leg as a result of the accident which happened just two years ago. Following 12 months of rehab and then a year of snowboarding training, he was selected as one of Britain’s 18 strong team taking part in the ‘biggest ever para snowsport event since the 1994 Paralympic Winter Games’.
Ollie was interviewed on BBC’s Ski Sunday last week and said he’d been “the fastest recovery person ever for Frimley Park Hospital’s rehab”. The snowboarder gave a ‘shout out’ to Frimley Park and the physio who he credited with his speedy rehab. Wishing Ollie Hill all the best at the event, which takes place between Jan 8 -23. Everyone at Frimley Health is very much rooting for him!
