Medical assessment

The acute medical unit (AMU) at Frimley Park takes admissions from the emergency department, direct from GPs and from outpatient clinics.

The medical investigations unit (MIDU) at Wexham Park is a day unit receiving referrals from various specialties requiring routine and urgent assessment and management of treatment.

Medical assessment provides a service for the rapid assessment and treatment of a wide range of medical conditions. After you have been assessed, you will either be admitted to an appropriate medical ward, treated on MAU or allowed home.
