We have introduced welcome kiosks, new touch screens at our outpatient receptions, that allow patients to check-in themselves and alert our staff of their arrival. 

When you arrive at the department, please make sure to check-in at one of our self-service kiosks. This is important as it tells the nursing staff you have arrived for your appointment. 

Our self-service check-ins are similar to those used at doctor's surgeries and airports. 

After checking in you will be directed to the appropriate waiting area where a nurse or doctor will call you for your appointment. Staff will be on hand to help guide you through the process and answer any queries you may have. 

Confirming your details 

Our Welcome check-in will ask you to confirm your details. This includes: 

  • First name and last name
  • Date of birth

You will then be able to confirm your appointment, which will also direct you to the waiting area. 
You also have the opportunity to change your address, add a mobile number and confirm or change your GP details.
