A local plant centre is raising money for Wexham Park Hospital to make over its cancer ward’s gardens.

Staff at the Eden Day Unit and Eden Ward, where patients receive treatment for cancer, are hoping to enhance their outdoor areas and provide visitors with a tranquil space to enjoy during their stay.

Throughout June, Pinewood Nurseries and Farm Shop, located on Wexham Street near to the hospital, will give customers the opportunity to donate the cost of a plant during checkout. The money raised will then help staff and volunteers buy new plants and revitalise the gardens and courtyards.

They will be helped by local landscape gardener and Chelsea Flower Show exhibitor, Ryan Alexander, who is providing his services for free.

If you’d like to donate money directly to the Eden Day Unit and Eden Ward’s charitable fund, please contact Frimley Health’s Charity on 01753 633206.
