I am very much looking forward to our annual members meeting next month – the first we have been able to hold in person for four years. It will be great to see as many of you as possible in the fine setting of the Royal Windsor Racecourse on the evening of Tuesday 26 September, and to have many of our brilliant teams present to showcase their work. Please take time to register for the event below.

It will also be an opportunity to look back on key events and achievements from the previous year and a taste of the challenges and opportunities ahead. I am really pleased to present below our inTouch magazine review of the year – a great read that will give you a flavour of what a challenging and successful year it has been (see link below).

The ongoing national industrial action by the BMA continues to affect our services – especially our programme of planned care – while we focus on maintaining safe emergency and urgent care for patients over strike periods. Our teams have worked incredibly hard to plan and as best we can, but we do not underestimate the frustration felt by many patients and colleagues at the impact the action is having.

I hope you have been able to enjoy some holiday time this summer. We have lots planned for the months ahead and we are busy preparing for the challenges that winter brings. You can hear more about what’s coming up at the AMM and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible in person at the event.

Annual Members’ Meeting – Just over a month to go

The countdown is on for the most important date in our yearly members’ events calendar – the Annual Members’ Meeting (AMM), which takes place on Tuesday 26 September. This year the event is even more special as it’s our first face to face AMM since 2019 and we’re really looking forward to seeing you all again and welcoming any new members to the Frimley Health team.

The venue we have chosen is the wonderful Riverbank Marquee at Royal Windsor racecourse. Doors will open early at 4.45pm to give members the opportunity to browse the range of health stands on offer, 32 in total, covering everything from dementia awareness, stroke, cardiology and cancer services, to voluntary services, charity and the team from the New Hospital Programme.

The AMM itself will take place between 6.30-8pm with a welcome from Chairman Bryan Ingleby followed by a review of the year from CEO Neil Dardis and a look ahead to the exciting developments and plans in place for 2024. There will be free refreshments for all and lots of opportunties to meet different staff, fellow members and catch up on all you need to know about our Trust.

Please register for the event here.
