Reunion for neonatal babies

There was a baby boom in Frimley when more than 40 little ones and their families came together for a special Christmas reunion. The annual party held at the Frimley Baptist Church Hall is a celebration for all the babies and their families who have spent extended periods of time at Frimley Park Hospital’s Neonatal Unit over the previous year, and a chance for staff and babies to meet again.

New chairman appointed

Pradip Patel was today appointed by Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust’s council of governors as the new chairman from 1 April 2016. He succeeds Sir Mike Aaronson who reaches the end of his tenure with the NHS Trust in March 2016 and will step down following 10 years in the role.

Second year running for award

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust has been named the winner of the Outstanding Achievement in Healthcare award at the 2015 Health Business Awards. It is the second year running that the trust, which manages Frimley Park Hospital near Camberley, Wexham Park Hospital in Slough and Heatherwood Hospital, Ascot, has won the prestigious award.

Hospital patient Allan Mansi and wife Paulette have donated a special massage chair to the Eden Day Unit at Wexham Park. The couple wanted to show their appreciation and to thank complementary therapist Wendy Dines and her team for the wonderfully caring and therapeutic service they provide.

Updated Monday 30 November at 19.30pm: Tomorrow's industrial action planned by junior doctors has been cancelled. If you were told your appointment was being rescheduled please now attend your appointment as planned. A small number of patients were told that if the strike was cancelled we would be unable to reinstate their appointment at short notice - unfortunately this still stands.
