Plans are moving forward to redevelop and improve Fleet Community Hospital, to create more capacity for physiotherapy, community nursing and outpatient services, enabling more patients to receive care closer to home.

The £1.5 million investment will improve the reception, clinical and staff areas, upgrade the hospital’s electrical and digital infrastructure, and create additional therapy, gym and group space. Improvements to access, including additional parking, are also being planned.

The changes will help services reduce wait times, while supporting additional community clinics and group sessions, and providing a more welcoming check-in experience. The improved facilities will also help colleagues make better use of the site and support the delivery of more care within the local community.

Most of the funding needed was secured through NHS England’s elective recovery funding, with further contributions from the Trust and the Frimley Health Charity Fleet Legacy Fund to support the full programme of works.

Work has already started, with work expected to be complete at the end of March 2027. The work will be carried out in phases to minimise disruption and allow clinical services to continue throughout.

We’ll share further updates as the plans progress, including more information about the improvements and what patients and colleagues can expect while work is underway.
