Statement from Frimley Health Charity regarding your personal data
Frimley Health Charity has been informed about a cyber-security incident involving Beacon, the contacts database provider used by the charity.
Beacon's investigation is ongoing and, at this stage, it has not been possible to determine whether any Frimley Health Charity supporter records were accessed.
At the time of publishing this notice, there is no evidence that any information relating to Frimley Health Charity supporters has been published, distributed or used for fraudulent activity.
What happened?
On Wednesday 29 July 2026, Beacon CRM, a specialist database provider used by more than 1,000 charities, became aware of a cyber-security incident and engaged external cyber-security specialists to investigate and secure its systems.
Beacon has told us that compromised credentials may have been used to access its systems and that copies of database backups may have been taken. Frimley Health Charity was notified on 3 August 2026.
There is currently no evidence that information obtained through the incident has been shared or misused or that our data is impacted.
What information may have been affected?
If your information was held within Frimley Health Charity's Beacon account at the time of the incident, it may have been impacted.
Depending on your interactions with us, this may include:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your postal address
- Your date of birth
- Your donation or fundraising history
- Your communications with us
We do not store bank account details, credit or debit card details within Beacon.
What have we done?
Beacon has secured its systems and is continuing its investigation with external cyber-security specialists. It is also monitoring for any indication that information has been shared or misused.
Frimley Health Charity has secured access to its Beacon account, reviewed connected applications and taken the recommended steps to protect our systems and data.
What should you do?
You do not need to take any specific action at this stage. However, we recommend being particularly alert to unexpected emails, calls or text messages that:
- ask you to provide personal or financial information;
- ask you to make a payment or change payment details; or
- contain unexpected links or attachments.

If you receive a message claiming to be from Frimley Health Charity and are unsure whether it is genuine, please do not respond using the contact details or links contained within that message. Instead, contact us directly using the details below.
We appreciate that this may be concerning. We take our responsibility to protect the personal information of our supporters and donors extremely seriously and are continuing to work closely with Beacon as its investigation progresses. We will contact you again if there are any significant developments relevant to you.
At present, no action is required from supporters beyond remaining vigilant to unexpected communications.
