Overview of the course

A clinical attachment for international medical graduates (IMGs) is one of the best ways to learn about the NHS and UK clinical practice. Through supervised practice an attachment can boost your confidence and may enhance the chances of passing exams or obtaining a job within the NHS. It allows candidates to gain an overview of medical processes and systems in the NHS, by shadowing different grade doctors, as well as nursing staff, and healthcare assistants in a relevant specialty at work.

We are pleased to offer 4 week placements within the Emergency Department (ED) at Wexham Park Hospital, Slough.

Please note – whist on placement you will not be able to make clinical decisions or offer clinical advice.

  • Gain experience by observing history taking and examinations in the Emergency Department (ED)
