Frimley Park Hospital
At Frimley Park, we offer various therapeutic and diagnostic gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures. These are explorations of the upper or lower gut, via a flexible instrument (endoscope) which can be passed through the mouth or anus. Please refer to our Endoscopy page.

We treat a range of conditions including inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, peptic ulcer disease, gastro-oesophageal reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, functional dyspepsia, cancer of the oesophagus, stomach, pancreas and large bowel, bile salt malabsorption and Barrett’s Oesophagus.

Barretts Oesophagus and Early Oesophageal cancer
An expert multidisciplinary team including Dr Susannah Woodrow and Mr Sukhpal Singh provides state-of-the-art diagnostics and therapeutics for the management of pre-cancerous and cancerous conditions of the upper GI tract.
With the support of Mary Townsend, senior nurse endoscopist, we have a dedicated surveillance programme for patients with Barrett’s oesophagus, squamous dysplasia of the oesophagus and familial oesophago-gastric cancer.
We offer endoscopic treatment for Barrett’s and squamous dysplasia and early cancer of the oesophagus including endoscopic mucosal resection and radiofrequency ablation.
Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals
The TRIPP room, next to Ward 4 at Wexham Park Hospital is an information resource room, offering simple and straightforward advice and support to patients with gastrointestinal conditions and cancers. Patients can drop in and find reliable information, or book an appointment if more privacy is required. The Tripp room service is supported jointly by Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust and Macmillian Cancer Support, also by the Wexham Gastrointestinal Trust.
