At Frimley Park, we offer various therapeutic and diagnostic gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures. These are explorations of the upper or lower gut, via a flexible instrument (endoscope) which can be passed through the mouth or anus. Please refer to our Endoscopy page.

We treat a range of conditions including inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, peptic ulcer disease, gastro-oesophageal reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, functional dyspepsia, cancer of the oesophagus, stomach, pancreas and large bowel, bile salt malabsorption and Barrett’s Oesophagus.

An expert multidisciplinary team including Dr Susannah Woodrow and Mr Sukhpal Singh provides state-of-the-art diagnostics and therapeutics for the management of pre-cancerous and cancerous conditions of the upper GI tract. 

With the support of Mary Townsend, senior nurse endoscopist, we have a dedicated surveillance programme for patients with Barrett’s oesophagus, squamous dysplasia of the oesophagus and familial oesophago-gastric cancer. 

We offer endoscopic treatment for Barrett’s and squamous dysplasia and early cancer of the oesophagus including endoscopic mucosal resection and radiofrequency ablation.
