A cancer survivor has thanked staff at Wexham Park Hospital for her care by raising thousands of pounds towards specialist medical equipment.

Patients discharged from Wexham Park and Heatherwood hospitals can now get advice and information about their take-home prescriptions and other medications from a dedicated pharmacy team.
Record year for Run Wexham
This year’s Run Wexham races raised a record £17,000 to support some of the most poorly children at Wexham Park Hospital. Around 250 serious athletes and fun runners stepped up to the charity challenge at Black Park country park on 8 July. Now the sponsorship monies have been added up and the final sum has delighted organisers.
Revamp for gardens of Eden
Wexham Park Hospital’s own gardens of Eden are getting a makeover – and the public can give their support. Two courtyards adjacent to the hospital’s Eden haematology ward are being transformed by a local landscaping firm which is donating its expertise free of charge. A third, smaller garden is being tidied and decorated with colourful flowers and shrubs. And volunteers are being sought to help maintain a fourth.

Facing our future
Frimley Health's chief executive Neil Dardis has presented his conclusions after his first 100 days in charge of the trust. As promised when he started his role in March 2018, Neil spoke to staff and stakeholders this month after meeting nearly 3,000 staff, spending more than 120 hours visiting departments and developing relationships with key local and national partners.

Staff from across Frimley Health’s hospitals and satellite sites celebrated the 70th anniversary of the NHS in style last weekend. They gathered at Easthampstead Park near Bracknell on Sunday 8 July for a fun-filled extravaganza with their family and friends, laid on for them by the trust.

The family and friends of an 11-year-old boy undergoing treatment for a rare cancer have raised almost £3,800 for the Wexham Park Hospital teams caring for him.
New nursing role at trust sparks interest
The first tranche of training for a new kind of nursing role at Frimley Health has begun. In time there will be some 150-200 nursing associates in the trust, helping to ensure the right skill mix of nursing staff in clinical areas for the best patient care. It is one of the ways the trust is addressing a national shortage of registered nurses available to the NHS.
Minister sees NHS and fire joint working

Nurses and health staff in Farnborough have found new ways of caring for people in their own homes more effectively by helping each other.
