Jon Curtis and George Alford outside Farnham Hospital with staff

The Friends of Farnham and Fleet Hospitals have teamed up with the Dempster trust to donate hundreds of Primroses to healthcare staff working at the two sites.

Usually the group organises a Christmas lunch every year for the staff at Farnham and Fleet Hospitals but this year that had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. Instead the organisers were keen to find another way to show their appreciation for the staff, especially after the difficult year everyone has faced.

With spring almost upon us it was decided that a beautiful pot of primroses would be gifted to each staff member to take home to brighten up their windowsills. The Dempster trust chairman Jon Curtis and Chairman of Hospital Friends George Alford were on hand to help distribute the flowers on Friday morning.

Vickie Ibbott, Assistant Operations Manager at Frimley Health said: “We’re really appreciative of this amazing gesture from the Dempster trust and Friends of Farnham Hospital. It’s humbling to work with such amazing organisations.”
