Frimley Health Deputy Chief Executive Janet King visited Scrubs Glorious Scrubs in Ascot on 23 June to receive a first batch of rainbow scrubs from 11-year-old Noah Evans, the son of Virgin Radio DJ Chris Evans. Noah spent 28 days camping out in a homemade den his back garden to raise money for Scrubs Glorious Scrubs. This, coupled with his dad encouraging famous friends to auction personal items, means the family have sent over £1.3 million to the charity!

Their Royal Highnesses The Earl and Countess of Wessex visited Frimley Park Hospital on 11 June to deliver meals made for NHS staff by generous volunteers. The Earl and Countess, who live at nearby Bagshot Park, arrived at lunchtime with a batch of 50 meals from London Irish Rugby Club, where Their Royal Highnesses had joined volunteers to prepare the day’s food.

Hospital staff on the front line of the NHS fight against coronavirus are being helped to unwind thanks to some first class support from airline crews. Healthcare workers and support staff at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust are being treated to a ‘first class lounge’ experience by cabin crew and pilots who have been furloughed or made redundant during the global health pandemic. The crews, working as part of a national programme called Project Wingman, are visiting hospitals across the country.

Countess volunteers to support NHS staff

Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex met NHS heroes from the front line of the coronavirus pandemic today as she helped distribute donations of food to staff at Frimley Park Hospital. The Countess joined volunteers from the Army’s neighbouring Cadet Training Centre Frimley Park as they packed more than 100 bags with fruit, vegetables, coffee and treats. She then helped transport them to the hospital’s education centre and presented them to grateful hospital staff.

Easter eggs to 730 staff on sick leave

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is showing support for almost 730 staff on sick leave – by sending them each an Easter egg and a ‘get well soon’ card. The Trust is on the front line of the coronavirus pandemic as the NHS faces the biggest challenge in its 70-year history. Hundreds of staff are currently away from work due to sickness, with many displaying symptoms of Covid-19. So managers have teamed up with local businesses to show them that their colleagues are thinking of them.
