Run Frimley usually starts and finishes at Frimley Park HospitalThis year's Run Frimley is set to be the biggest ever, with the annual fundraiser held as a virtual event over the course of a week - from Saturday 26 September to Sunday 4 October.

The event also coincides with Frimley Health Charity’s 25th anniversary so it is a great reason to participate and show your support.

The virtual event consists of a 10km road race and 2.5km fun run with fancy dress strongly encouraged. The distance is set, but you can complete it in any way you choose – either do a little every day or conquer 10k or 2.5K in one go.

Anyone who participates will need to log their progress using a fitness tracker and then send or tag Frimley Health Charity in their post-run selfie.

This year’s theme is “Superheroes” to celebrate everything our staff have achieved during such a challenging 2020.

There will be prizes for the top three finishers plus every person who takes part in the event will be automatically entered into a prize draw.

Andrew House, director, Frimley Health Charity, said: “Run Frimley 2020 will not take place in its usual format due to the current Covid restrictions, but holding a virtual version provides a new way for the local community to still be involved and our wonderful supporters to fundraise for us.

"The focus this year is about getting outside and feeling part of something special. As it’s being held for a full week, it is really easy to participate - you can choose when and where you complete the challenge and help us celebrate our 25th year.”
