Pradip Patel was today appointed by Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust’s council of governors as the new chairman from 1 April 2016. He succeeds Sir Mike Aaronson who reaches the end of his tenure with the NHS Trust in March 2016 and will step down following 10 years in the role.

As prior director of healthcare strategy at Walgreens Alliance Boots and non-executive director for Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Pradip brings with him a wealth of experience in executive and non-executive roles for complex and regulated sectors.

Pradip started his career as a pharmacist and has subsequently gained leadership experience in marketing, property & planning, pharmacy, opticians, HR and strategy at a senior level

Sir Andrew Morris said: “We are extremely pleased that Pradip is joining us. His wide range of experience in the wider business world, alongside his understanding of the NHS, will be vital as we continue to improve the services we offer our patients while balancing our finances.

On behalf of the Board I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Sir Mike Aaronson for the support and commitment he has given us over his tenure. He has led the board for over ten years which has been Frimley’s most successful period ever.   We wish him every success with his future endeavours.”
