We’re a trust that stands out in many ways as an employer. When you visit our hospitals you can feel something special about the surroundings, the people and the culture.
We know just how important our employees are to what we do. So, we’ve worked hard to create a trust where you will know you are valued, respected and rewarded. There’s no better place to take your career forward, however you see your future.
As a team we’re driven by our focus on the very best in patient care. We want our trust to set the standard for others to follow – this is a place where you can take genuine pride in the services and treatment the team offers.
Our aim is to deliver genuine clinical excellence by sharing best practice effectively across our sites while strengthening leadership and management. Through leading-edge diagnostics and techniques we’re taking a first class, consultant-led approach to NHS healthcare. Our values guide us and act as a constant reminder of the need for excellence.
It’s an exciting time to join as we’re extending our services and building our resources. The trust already has several specialist acute services – and we’re looking to develop high quality new ones. We will continue to work in and with our communities to deliver quality care in a local setting. The whole team is ready to face the future with a continued focus on efficiency and improved service delivery.
In 2014 Frimley Park Hospital was the first to be awarded outstanding status in the new Care Quality Commission ratings.
“When we (CQC) inspected Frimley Park Hospital, we found the vast majority of care to be outstanding. Even where we rated services as good, these were found to be towards the upper end of that scale.” Prof Sir Mike Richards, Chief Inspector of Hospitals for England.
Soon after, the trust running Frimley Park Hospital took over Wexham Park and Heatherwood hospitals. As Frimley Health, we are now delivering the same outstanding culture of excellence across the enlarged trust.
Facilities and environment
Our hospitals are modern and well resourced – we know it makes a massive difference to our team to work with the latest equipment. There’s also a big emphasis on making our hospitals bright, vibrant places to be.
Culture and colleagues
New starters, visitors, patients – when people first come to Frimley Health, they can’t help noticing how friendly everyone is. This positive atmosphere gives a genuine boost to employees and patients alike. Plus, there’s always someone there who’s ready to listen or offer support and a kind word when you need it.
We also have a flat management structure which creates a collaborative team approach. We think that makes us more responsive. Senior managers are more available and everyone in the team is valued.
Crucially, the trust’s values have a big influence on the day-to-day working experience. Living these values gives the whole team a shared sense of purpose and direction – and strengthens the team spirit.
Learning and career development
It’s important to us that every employee has the opportunity to reach their full potential. There are a huge range of learning opportunities and activities for both clinical and non-clinical staff – including highly rated preceptorships. You will have your own development plan, linked into the appraisal process and the support of your line manager to follow your ambitions.
You’re encouraged to take control of your own development and identify courses and learning opportunities that will specifically benefit you. Options include management development, clinical skills training, personal skills, IT and Health and Safety.
We’ve also started running career clinics. They help you to explore your future potential and options – you can plan the way forward and gain specific developmental support.
You will be given every opportunity to progress your career – which could mean specialising or earning promotions. As a large trust with many specialist departments across three major hospitals there is enviable scope to develop your career in many different directions.
