Working as a nurse on G3 at Frimley Park

G3 is a dedicated unit which specialises in looking after people who have had a stroke. We have 10 monitored and 2 non-monitored hyper-acute beds with a further 16 stroke step down beds.

We are a dynamic and pro-active team who provide evidence based stroke management; which includes thrombolysis, neurological assessments and treatment if required.

On admission the suspected stroke patients are assessed by members of the multidisciplinary team and rehabilitation will be commenced.

We are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic staff nurses with strong interpersonal skills to join us on the unit.

You will act as a resource for the patients, nursing and medical colleagues, and actively participate in further development and expansion of services on the unit.

We also offer the opportunity to join our preceptorship course if you are newly qualified nurse and there are opportunities to gain your mentorship qualification. The stroke care course runs annually.

There will be opportunities to work across hyper-acute and step down areas to develop expertise in all aspects of stroke care.
