Working as a nurse on F4 and F5 at Frimley Park

In this exciting acute specialty (split over 2 wards) you can be involved in a range of trauma orthopaedic conditions, including fractured neck of femurs and spinal injuries – meaning no two days are the same.

You will be actively involved in every stage of our patient’s pathway, from leading the pre-operative assessment, preparing your patient for surgery and caring for their post-operative rehabilitation.

We are driven to give our patients a holistic approach to their care so you will be confident working with a passionate multi-disciplinary team, along with delivering excellent standards of patient care whilst ensuring patient dignity, safety and confidentiality.

As a friendly and caring team, we are passionate about nursing and driven to continuously improve the patient experience and assist in identifying improvements to drive our department.

Our department is a fantastic environment if you are a newly-registered nurse wishing to consolidate your skills in an exciting specialty of nursing. In addition to our excellent 12 month preceptorship course with protected study days, we have a dedicated practice development team who will support and encourage your continuous professional development.

We also welcome applications from experienced nurses wishing to develop their knowledge in orthopaedics and we offer an in house level 6 orthopaedic nursing module, worth 20 credits and validated by the University of West London!
