Working as a nurse on F2 at Frimley Park

An acute medical ward catering predominately for the needs of endocrine patients though we care for lots of patients who have dementia. F2 provides a fast paced and challenging environment to further develop your clinical skills, knowledge and understanding.

You will be exposed to caring for patients with a variety of medical conditions and gain experience in looking after the acutely unwell patient.

Education and learning is a key priority within the ward. We aim to help all staff develop their knowledge and skills to fulfil their role. You will have the chance to gain all your clinical competencies.

Through CPD funding by the trust we are currently able to support staff to undertake the mentorship course and are backed to complete the dementia course.

On a day to day basis the ward is coordinated and managed by a sister / charge nurse. We have a team of junior sisters / charge nurses and we aim to ensure that every shift has senior cover to ensure that staff has the clinical support they require. They are also able to provide mentorship to newly qualified nurses and assist with signing off competencies and completing appraisals.

We are proud to say that we have a very friendly, welcoming and supportive team. If you are looking for a dynamic, fast paced medical ward to develop and grow your clinical skills and knowledge then ward F2 is the place for you.
