Working as a nurse on F10 at Frimley Park

F10 is a general medical ward with speciality in Rheumatology.

The ward has senior nurses who are mentors and provide support for new and junior members of staff. If you are a newly qualified nurse, you will have the opportunity to join our Preceptorship course and there are opportunities for post graduate education for nurses with experience.

 You will also have the opportunity for post graduate education such as the teaching and assessing skills (Mentorship) course, Dementia, Care of the older person and other courses up to a master’s level.

The ward provides further support for your career development by offering a valuable weekly consultant led lunch time teachings to both medics and nurses.

You will also be allocated a mentor to support you while you settle on the ward. A period of supernumerary is offered on resumption for work and an induction booklet telling you what the ward is about awaits you.
