Need to access quality health information?
The Library Team appreciates that staff based off-site often find it difficult to visit the Library in person. This need not be a barr to accessing the information you need. The majority of our resources and services can be accessed right from your desktop!

Books & Document Supply
Books and articles can be requested online via this website or by emailing your nearest Frimley Health Library. Items not suitable for sending electronically will need to be collected.

Frimley Health staff have access to 480+ health management journals. Coverage includes health administration, human resources and marketing. Search for articles via the NHS Knowledge & Library Hub.
If you are looking for a specific article and are unable to find or download it, please contact the Library Team who will be happy to obtain for you from their network of library contacts.
The Health Management Information Consortium Database (HMIC)
This is a compilation of the Department of Health and the King's Fund Library. This database holds details of publications and "grey literature" relating to health and social care policy, management and administration. Access the database here with an NHS OpenAthens password.

The Health Profiles provide a snapshot overview for each Local Authority in England.

Knowledge Mobilisation
NHS Knowledge Mobilisation Framework Programme now live
The NHS Knowledge Mobilisation Framework is designed to help individuals working in health and care to develop skills to mobilise knowledge effectively in their organisations.
The framework aims to help them to learn before, during and after everything that they do so that best practice is replicated and pitfalls can be avoided. It introduces 11 techniques to help plan, co-ordinate and implement knowledge mobilisation activities.

The programme is a re-working of an original concept devised by what was the Department of Health Connecting for Health Knowledge Management Team and the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Library and Knowledge Services Team.

You will receive a library induction at the beginning of your placement and ongoing assistance will be available to help you find and use information available through us, including NHS Athens electronic resources.

We look forward to welcoming you to the literature search skills training session, which takes place at the beginning of your course. It is important for you to be able to find and appraise evidence-based information for your essays and assignments. Should you need a follow-up 1-1 session at any time, just get in touch.
