"The Dietetics department at Frimley Park Hospital is a great place to work, and provides extensive opportunities to progress and develop your skills. I began my career two years ago as a bank Dietitian before securing a permanent role as a rotational Dietitian. Once I had built on my clinical skills and knowledge, I was able to progress to a specialist surgical Dietitian, which allowed me to gain insight on the critical care unit. I have been given many opportunities to develop my career at Frimley Park Hospital and more recently have been offered the opportunity to take on more responsibility and cover maternity leave as the critical care Dietitian."

Dietetics at Frimley Health

We are very proud of our dietetic team and the great job they do for Frimley Health.  You will find the highest standards of clinical excellence across our three main hospitals at Frimley Park in Camberley, Wexham Park in Slough and Heatherwood in Ascot.  A friendly, supportive and open culture encourages our dietitians to reach their full potential.

Staff at Frimley Health benefit from working in a trust which enjoys strong leadership from a long-standing executive board with a clear vision for the future.  Senior managers are visible, approachable and committed to empowering more junior members of the team to find solutions to improve patient care.

Our Trust values – summarised as Committed to Excellence, Working Together and Facing the Future are embedded in everything we do and living these values in our day-to-day work gives everyone a shared sense of focus on what truly matters – the care we give our patients and the way we treat them, and each other.

Our aim is for all staff to feel valued and enjoy coming to work. Our entire Dietetic team benefits from a strong support framework. We offer newly qualified Band 5s the opportunity to rotate wards to gain more experience. There are structured learning opportunities in areas such as ICU/Haematology/Cystic Fibrosis and Paediatrics.

We have regular education meetings and opportunities for Continuous Professional Development, run both in-house and externally. There are many opportunities to progress within our team.
